Q: Francesca, what makes hosting a holiday party at Tanta so special?
A: I think it’s the combination of space, atmosphere, and culture. We have so many unique options for companies, our rooftop is truly iconic in River North, and even in winter it can create a warm, cozy vibe with heaters under the canopy. For those looking for something more intimate, our Private Dining Room is perfect for dinners up to 50 guests or cocktail receptions for 60. And of course, the Main Dining Room is all newly renovated, making a great space for larger seated dinners or standing buffets. Whatever the group size, we can tailor the experience to feel both festive and elevated.

Q: How does Tanta stand out from other holiday venues in Chicago?
A: Our cuisine and culture set us apart. We showcase the best of Peru, vibrant, colorful, and incredibly flavorful food items like our Cebiche or even a Lomo Saltado Station. We also love to make events interactive; one of our favorites is offering a Cebiche-making class, where teams can learn the traditions behind Peru’s most famous dish. It transforms a holiday party into something engaging and memorable.

Q: What do you personally enjoy most about planning holiday events at Tanta?
A: For me, it’s about sharing my culture. Being Peruvian, I’m so proud to help guests discover the warmth, flavors, and traditions of Peru. The holidays are about family and connection, and I love bringing that same spirit to our events here in Chicago. Seeing clients come back year after year because of the experience we’ve created, that’s the most rewarding part of my job.
